NHS Approved Lead Trainer | Specialist in Learning Disability, Autism and Complex Needs
Libby Lawrence is a Lead Trainer at Lynx Training Academy, delivering Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training as an officially approved NHS trainer. She works with health and social care providers to meet their legal obligations while driving genuine shifts in understanding, attitude and practice.
With extensive experience across health, social care, hospice and secure settings, Libby specialises in learning disability, autism, mental health, trauma-informed care and the Mental Capacity Act. She's known for creating safe, reflective learning environments that challenge assumptions and translate directly into improved frontline practice.
Her approach combines professional facilitation with psychologically informed, values-based care—ensuring training that's not just compliant, but impactful. Libby has a particular talent for engaging diverse audiences, from senior leaders to frontline teams, and supporting organisations working with people who have complex needs.
Through Lynx Training Academy, Libby delivers high-quality, co-produced training that builds workforce confidence, supports CQC compliance and improves outcomes for autistic people and people with learning disabilities.
We're always looking for passionate people with lived experience of autism and/or learning disabilities to train as co-trainers.
Full training provided, dedicated support throughout, and £150 per 3-hour session.
